Engineering Tech Intern

General Responsibilities:

Northern Geo, is looking for an Engineering Technician Intern. The Engineering Technician Intern will perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection. Communicate with project manager, project engineer, engineering technicians, and others as applicable regarding project or construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Northern Geo Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment and work areas. Adhere to strict safety standards. May perform various engineering support tasks including development of drawings using AutoCAD, review of engineering drawings, tech support and other various tasks.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Preferred Skills:

Ability to work with Word and Excel software, AutoCAD, Microstation, and other

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.

Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
